Tech Biotechnology The field of biotechnology in India is growing at a steady pace. With its advancement, thousands of young students from all parts of the country are keen on choosing this subject as a career option. And why shouldn’t it be? Biotechnology can be of major help not just to us normal individuals but to the whole world that we survive in.
Not just biotechnology alone but the combination of a few subjects with biotechnology can offer you a large number of options. If you would like to become a part of this field in the future, you will have to make a few choices once you have completed your 10th standard exam. It is best to become a science student and focus on physics, chemistry, and biology because you will need them in the long run.
Also when you are applying to different colleges after your 12th standard results are out, make sure you look for those undergraduate courses that offer you BSC or BTech. The eligibility criteria are not the same in all colleges. Most of them differ. However, it is best to score as much as you can in your school exams so that you won’t be denied to sit for some of the difficult entrance tests such as All India Engineering Entrance Examinations and joint entrance examinations to get into IIT.
There are other engineering colleges that conduct their own examinations before admission results are out. People who are keen on studying biotechnology one they are done with graduation can definitely do an MBA. That would open new doors of opportunities in terms of jobs and placements. Building a successful career out of biotechnology is not as easy as it sounds. You have to be extremely intelligent and talented if you want to survive in this field.
Not just that, you need to have a basic idea of science and its several applications. Being good at math is also very important. Apart from the eligibility criteria, it is important to be able to afford an engineering degree. Even though it depends upon the field, most engineering colleges charge around two lakh rupees annually. However, if it isn’t possible for you to afford that much, you can always apply for scholarships. Some institutions are willing to pay the expenses of those students who are exceptionally good or perform beyond expectations during entrance tests.
Another option is loans. Several banks such as State Bank of India and Allahabad Bank are willing to take care of your expenses as far as you can return the amount later.
